- Hi, I'm fairly new to the internet and computers and I have a question
- that may seem stupid to somebody who knows better. I'm connected to the
- internet through my university and I usually browse from my home computer.
- My problem is that the fastest baud rate for my modem is 2400 bps and is
- therefore to slow to take advantage of the SLIP feature at school. Which
- also means of course that I can't use netscape or see pictures. I was
- wondering if it's possible for me to increase the baud rate for my modem
- (which is built into my computer - Compaq Presario 433)?
