  12. Hi, I'm fairly new to the internet and computers and I have a question
  13. that may seem stupid to somebody who knows better.  I'm connected to the
  14. internet through my university and I usually browse from my home computer.
  15. My problem is that the fastest baud rate for my modem is 2400 bps and is
  16. therefore to slow to take advantage of the SLIP feature at school.  Which
  17. also means of course that I can't use netscape or see pictures.  I was
  18. wondering if it's possible for me to increase the baud rate for my modem
  19. (which is built into my computer - Compaq Presario 433)?
